I moon often, and unapologetically! But I don’t see it as the equivalent of saying “eff off,” as the article suggests. For me it’s more about putting nonessential conversations on hold temporarily so I can be fully present with the people I’m with at that moment, or so I can concentrate on my work. It’s a pity the article characterized mooning as a “digital impoliteness,” because it can actually be a tool for living more mindfully and purposefully. Perhaps I’ll write a counterpoint piece. 🙂
