Computers FTW

On my way to Montenegro for vacations, the car broke down right after the border between Slovenia and Croatia.

A bright red engine light went off, and according to the vehicle’s manual, we were supposed to immediately stop the engine and call for service.

Having 3 more hours to go for the day on our plan, and with the car not showing any sign of malfunction we bravely (and recklessly) push through Rijeka and pulled over into a car mechanic shop.

Not speaking the local language we were a little worried but English was well understood and in just 15 minutes we had a mechanic looking after our case.

He plugged a laptop to the car and 2 minutes later he came out from under the hood holding a little rubber pipe, bent and cracked on the side.

He changed the broken piece and 5 minutes (and 20 euros) later we were back on the road, towards Zadar, the first planned stop of our trip.

It’s amazing how computers have entered the car industry and made things easier. Computers FTW!
