In 2016 I successfully blogged every day for the whole year. I actually kept going until September 2017, when the intensity of an overseas business trip broke my streak and sent me back to saltuary posting.
I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, so I decided to get back on track two days before the end of this solar year.
As a starter for this new season, let me bring you up to speed with what happened in the last few months with my online activities.
Even if this blog was stagnant, I took some time to give it a new style, picking a new template for it. I opted for Nucleare, which is available for download if you have a self-hosted WordPress. I applied a beautiful Ultra Violet palette to it, following my tradition of applying Pantone’s color of the year, every time it’s announced.
I applied the very same template, with different colors, on the other sites I’m maintaining. Truth is that 2017 has seen me publishing a few new sites, including a food/travel blog.
Poachedeggs.blog features all the places, mainly restaurants, that Letizia and I happen to visit while traveling. We only review places we would like to visit again. We tag them by location, so finding our favorite places in Rome, for instance, it’s super handy.
At the end of the summer, I got interested in refining my handcrafting skills. For some reason, I got into knife making and blades in general. I started following a few youtube channels and blogs and in a matter of a few weeks, I decided to join the knife making community. I purchased some equipment and opened a blog to document my journey. That’s how knifemaking.rocks was born. It has been an exciting experience so far!
I’m also curating my photo blog at luca.pics but lately, my photographic inspiration has been stalling. It will come back at some point, or not, I’m not overstressing about it.
My comment section is always open for business, feel free to drop a line if you like. Emojis are also well accepted 🙂
